When cleaning a soft-top convertible, use gentle products meant for the material rather than household cleaners. When cleaning the vehicle, don’t forget about the seals around the roof, doors, and windows. Keeping these areas clean prevents dirt and debris from accumulating where the top meets the body.

Car Wash Caution

While automatic car washes may be convenient, you should be careful in a convertible. Vehicles with a fabric top should not receive a hot wax treatment, as wax can cause the fabric to mat and create a shiny appearance. You should also avoid automatic car washes with guide rails higher than four inches, which could damage your vehicle’s body.
