BMW Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty

Every vehicle that’s in the BMW Certified program is backed by the automaker’s BMW Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty. It provides comprehensive coverage for one year with unlimited miles, after the expiration of the four-year, 50,000-mile BMW New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty.

How Long Does it Last?

One of the most common questions received by our BMW finance department is regarding how long the warranty lasts.

• Every new BMW vehicle comes with a four-year, 50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. When you buy a CPO car, you’ll enjoy whatever remains of that coverage.
• After the New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage expires, your BMW Certified Pre-Owned Warranty begins. It provides an additional year of coverage and removes the mileage cap.
• Without an extension, the coverage will endure for a total of five years, starting on your vehicle’s initial in-service date.

What Does it Cover?

All defects in materials and workmanship are covered by the BMW CPO Warranty when they are related to the following materials:

• Engine, transmission, and steering
• Brakes, fuel system, steering system, and suspension
• Propeller shaft and final drive assembly
• Interior and exterior parts
